Joel has over 25 years of investment and investment-related experience.
He has a wide range of experience from being a business owner, and a top performing sales professional and bank manager to having established himself as a successful, independent financial advisor. His motivation to become a financial advisor stemmed from his observations and research that most Americans, while they work very hard, have very little understanding of how money really works. And, in addition to that, the knowledge is not readily available nor is it taught to any extent in our public education system.
Joel believes that if people are given the facts, they can make a good decision. The problem for most Americans is that most aren’t sure who to talk to about these questions nor where to go to start the discussion. Joel is a good problem solver who takes the approach that people don’t want to be embarrassed when asking questions. They just want a straight answer, not a sales pitch. Joel likes to explain the principles of investing in an understandable presentation.

Joel lives in La Mesa, CA with his wife, Mary. He spent most of his life in Detroit, Michigan and the surrounding area. He relocated to the San Diego area in 2010 and has been with LPL Financial since June 2013.

- 6+ years of sales and sales management experience with Pepsi-Cola Bottling and Coca-Cola.
